VPN Sherlock earns money through affiliate commission. This page explains exactly how that works, because you should be able to judge our recommendations with that knowledge rather than without it.

How it works

Some links to VPN providers on this site are affiliate links.
If you buy a subscription after following one, the provider may pay us a commission.
The price you pay is not increased by using our link.
Commission rates differ between providers, which is a real conflict of interest and the reason this page exists.

What it does not affect

Disclosure is only meaningful alongside these commitments.

Does commission decide the ordering of recommendations?	No. Ordering follows the criteria in our methodology.
Do vendors review content before publication?	No. Vendors receive no copy approval.
Can a vendor pay to remove a stated limitation?	No. Documented limitations remain regardless of commercial relationship.
Can a vendor pay for a higher position?	No. We do not sell placement.
Are non-affiliate providers excluded?	No. Coverage is not conditional on a commercial relationship.

ZoogVPN is both our primary recommendation and a commercial partner

We state this plainly rather than burying it. The technical reasons for the recommendation are set out in full, and the ZoogVPN review contains an explicit section on what we could not verify — including the absence of a third-party audit report we can point to, and the fact that its leak-protection documentation does not address IPv6 or WebRTC. Judge the reasoning and decide for yourself.
